Evan Lepak - Sports Journalist

Evan Lepak is a sports reporter and editor at The Venice Gondolier in Venice, Florida, covering Venice High sports. Additionally, he worked at The Goshen News in Goshen, Indiana, covering local area sports and Notre Dame athletics. He's a graduate from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in sports journalism. During the summer of 2020, he interned for the San Diego League, a collegiate summer baseball league that hosted over 250 college baseball players from around the country. There, he wrote game stories and feature articles during the 10 weeks he spent in California. At school, he worked as a sports writer for the Independent Florida Alligator, the student newspaper at UF, from 2018 to 2020 and was the assistant sports editor for the paper during Spring 2020. He also interned for Rivals/Gators Territory during his last semester at UF, covering both football and basketball for the online publication. Lastly, Evan worked as a sports photography intern for UF's University Athletic Association. He shot and edited photos for all UF sports. Evan was a UF Sports Photography intern from May 2019 to January 2021. He shot multiple sporting events including football, women's basketball, women's lacrosse, soccer, cross country and volleyball. In his current role with The Venice Gondolier, Evan shoots photos while covering events daily. He also shot photos while at The Goshen News from January 2021 to January 2023.
