PREP FOOTBALL: Concord's Zaven Koltookian earns TGN Player of the Year award

The Concord Minutemen football team had a solid bounce-back season in 2021 after going just 4-4 the year prior. Head coach Craig Koehler’s group went 9-2 overall, won its first outright Northern Lakes Conference title since 2015 and advanced to the Class 5A Sectional 10 semifinals before falling to Mishawaka during a rain-soaked evening at Jake Field. The Minutemen had several veteran players on both sides of the ball that helped carry the team to the heights it reached, but arguably the most

ND FOOTBALL: Notre Dame officially introduces Marcus Freeman as head coach

SOUTH BEND — After an insane week for the Notre Dame football program that saw the all-time winningest coach in Fighting Irish history depart for the Bayou, Monday was a welcomed return to stability within the Irish Athletics Center. Led by Hochstetler, the offense ran like a well-oiled machine during the first three contests, scoring a combined 102 points during the three-game winning streak to open the season. Heading into Northridge’s fourth game against Plymouth, Hochstetler was 21

ND FOOTBALL: Wild fourth quarter leads to blowout win for Irish over Wisconsin

CHICAGO — Early in the fourth quarter, the momentum belonged to Wisconsin. Mere minutes after Badger fans jumped around wildly at the end of the third, Wisconsin kicker Collin Larsh put his team ahead 13-10 with a 27-yard field goal. With Notre Dame starting quarterback Jack Coan injured and a rigid Badger defense ready to dig back in, things looked bleak for the No. 12 Fighting Irish. That was until one of the fastest players on the team was given a chance to make a play. During the ensuing
